Summer Wearmouth, Registered Massage Therapist (2200-hours)
Hi I'm Summer! I graduated from Alberta College of Massage Therapy in 2018 and I spent the last (nearly) 8 years working in a chiro office. My specialty is deep tissue and prenatal massage. I believe in the healing power of movement and strength training, so clients will usually get homecare exercises focused on increasing strength and stability.
My treatment style involves slow, detailed work focusing on attachment points, trigger points, and working into common areas of tension. I often find trigger points hiding in and around the shoulder blades, traps, and through the hips. I am trained in deep tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Swedish relaxation, myofascial cupping, kinetic massage, and prenatal massage. Often I will incorporate many different techniques into a treatment to facilitate relaxation and therapeutic benefit.
When I'm not working I can be found at the gym doing full range of motion squats, hiking a mountain, or at a playground with my husband and toddler.
