No, we do not accept tips. We do appreciate your Google reviews though!
This depends entirely on your comfort level and the area you want worked on. Typically, if someone just wants back/neck/shoulder massage, they will undress from the waist-up. This means no jacket, shirt, or bra and laying underneath the sheets/blanket so they are not exposed.
If a person wants a full body massage (back, neck, shoulders, arms, legs, head, feet, and hands) typically I will ask they take off all of their clothes except for their bottom underwear – they can keep this on. Once again, clients will lay underneath the sheets and blanket so they are fully covered. During the massage appointment only the area being worked on will be uncovered. This means if your left arm is being treated, your entire body except your left arm will be covered by the sheet and blanket.
However, everyone has different comfort levels and different sensory tolerances. If you want to be fully clothed for your appointment, we can make that work.
Yes, we use an unscented hypoallergenic massage oil/gel. This reduces friction on the skin and prevents a burning/pulling sensation and allows for deeper work into the muscle tissues. Some clients choose to bring in their own massage oils/gels and that works too!
The amount of pressure used during a massage depends on the type. Swedish relaxation massage involves lighter pressure and avoids working deeply into tight muscles, so it typically doesn’t cause discomfort—most clients report feeling relaxed and sleepy afterward.
In contrast, deep tissue or therapeutic massage targets areas of tension using firmer pressure. This can create what many describe as a 'good pain'—a sensation that may feel slightly uncomfortable but ultimately relieving as the muscle begins to release. The aim is to apply pressure that feels effective, yet still tolerable and enjoyable.
While I do my best to read your body’s cues, such as tensing or flinching, I may occasionally miss them. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if the pressure is too much or too little. This is your session, and your comfort and feedback help ensure the best possible experience
You must wait a minimum of 72 hours after a motor vehicle accident to receive a massage. Depending on the severity of the car accident, your body is likely tensing up, creating swelling and bruising. This is a good thing – your body is working to assess the damage, create a brace (immobility) to prevent further damage and begin healing itself. Getting a massage within those first 72 hours may interfere with these processes or cause further damage.
After 72 hours and maybe an assessment by your healthcare provider, feel free to book an appointment with me and we will work to get you back to health. I do not direct bill auto insurance companies
Yes! We can direct bill to most major insurance companies. Please see "Direct Billing" tab for more details.
Please note: although we do offer direct billing, sometimes the claim does not go through or is only partially covered. You are responsible for checking your coverage and paying for any amount owing.
You can pay with credit card, visa debit, or cash.
Yes! I am a Registered Massage Therapist in the province of Alberta and you can submit claims to your insurance company for reimbursement if your insurance offers it.
Absolutely! Some of my favorite clients have been kids! Anyone 5 and over can book a massage with me. Younger children will likely only need a 30 minute session. An adult must accompany any child under the age of 16. Young people 16+ can come for a treatment without a parent present.
